Was ist eigentlich Geek-Romantik? Wie drücken zwei Menschen, die technikaffin sind, ihre gegenseitige Zuneigung aus? Es ist natürlich kompletter Unsinn, dass Technik jegliche Romantik töten würde. Im Gegenteil, sie kann sogar beziehungsfördernd sein. Zum Beispiel, wenn man zuhause das WLAN umbenennt und den eigenen Namen sowie den des Partners oder der Partnerin einsetzt. Die drahtlose Verbindung könnte dann etwa “Babsis und Mikes Internetz“ heißen und signalisieren: Das Internet gehört nicht nur mir, sondern uns beiden. Was für eine schöne Geste!
Generell bin ich überzeugt, dass Geeks die glücklicheren Paare sind. Ihnen wird niemals fad. Sie können stundenlang “Star Trek“ schauen oder Videospiele spielen. Und man kann dem anderen Geschenke machen, die man selbst gern hätte. Etwa das Spiel “Monopoly“ auf Klingonisch. Das mag für Außenstehende doof klingen. Aber so ist das mit Romantik: Die ist immer ein bisserl doof.

Aber hallo! Echte Geeks spielen doch kein Monopoly. "Battlestar Galactica - Das Brettspiel" ist das Minimum!
Klingonisches Monopoly ist gerade noch erlaubt! Aber stimmt, dass Battlestar-Galactica-Spiel muss ich auch dringend ausprobieren...
